RARE: WWI AEF US Army Model 1905 Bayonet - Chrome Plated Parade Bayonet - Marked: SA w/Ordnance Bomb 1906 w/M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard for M1903 Springfield Rifle - M1903 Springfield Rifle - Very Nice Condition
Up for sale is a WWI AEF US Army Model 1905 Chrome Plated Parade Bayonet.  This bayonet is marked SA (Springfield Aresenal) w/ ordnance bomb 1906 on one side, the other side is marked US 84650.  The bayonet has been chrome plate for Parade Usage.  Some chipping of the chrome plating on the blade, see photos.  No evidence of sharpening on the blade.  The markings are crips and easy to read.  Walnut grips are in very nice Condition.  No cracks or chips.  There is a name written on one of the grip panels, see photo.
The scabbard is the RARE M1910 Canvas Covered Parade Scabbard.  The hook to lock the bayonet in the scabbard has been removed from the scabbard.  The leather tip of the scabbard cover is soft and supple, minor seam separation starting on the tip, see photo.  No rips or tears in the cover.  Both the bayonet and scabbard are used, see photo's for condition.
Parade bayonets with the corret parade scabbard cover are very hard to find.
This bayonet will fit the M1903/A3 Springfield Rifles and the M1 Garand Rifle.
