    Description

    WWI Original Springfield Model 1905 Long bayonet.  Bayonet measures 20-1/2" overall with a blade length of 16". Very good  blade showing some soft sharpening, with approx. 70% bluing remaining.  Excellent wood handles, with excellent working press-stud.  Ricasso marked, "US 892256/SA 1918" with a flaming bomb ordnance cartouche.  Comes with an antique white colored scabbard, US Flaming bomb on the locket metal, with letters and numbers underneath the throat.  See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.
