    Description

    Manufactured by the Ames Sword Company, the Model 1906 Saber was an updated Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber. The saber has a 34 7/8 inch bright double fuller blade, with "U.S./J.H.C." restamped on the left ricasso and "A.S. Co." above the Ordnance "Shell and Flame" insignia and "1906". Iron two-branch handguard, with a leather and wire wrapped wooden grip and a helmet-style pommel. Blackened metal scabbard, with a short drag and a pair of hanging rings.
