Up for sale is a WWI Era AEF US Army M1917 Bayonet & Leather Scabbard.  This is an Original Bayonet & Leather Scabbard.  The bayonet is marked Remington in a circle and dated 1917, it had the US Proof marks AND EAGLE 20  INSPECTOR STAMP...The blade still has the original two-toned finish.  Minor finish wear on the handle and guard.  The wooden handles are in very nice condition.   No evidence of excessive sharpening.  It has the original British leather scabbard.  The leather is soft and supple, no cracking or crazing.  The scabbard is marked  RE on the metal tip.
