RARE: WWI AEF US Army Model 1905 Bayonet Marked: RIA w/Ordnance Bomb 1908 w/M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard for M1903 Springfield Rifle - M1903 Springfield Rifle - Excellent Condition
Up for auction is a WWI AEF US Army/USMC Model 1905 Bayonet.  This bayonet is marked RIA (Rock Island Aresenal) w/ordnance bomb 1908 on one side, the other side is marked US 120115.  The Blade still has the Original Bright Finish, minor wear spots.  No rust or pitting.  No evidence of sharpening on the blade.  The markings are crips and easy to read.  Walnut grips are in Excellent Condition.  No cracks or chips.
The scabbard is the RARE M1910 Canvas Covered Scabbard.  Marked Brauer Bros 1918 on the tip of the scabbard.  The leather tip is still soft and supple.  Stitching is all intact, no fraying.  No rips or tears in the cover.  Both the bayonet and scabbard are used, see photo's for condition.
You will have a hard time finding a better condition M1905 bayonet/scabbard set.
This bayonet will fit the M1903/A3 Springfield Rifles and the M1 Garand Rifle.
