    Description

    One Each (1) unfinished metal sword scabbard for either the US Model 1860 or Model 1906 Cavalry Sword.  I bought 3 of these 50 years ago ---somewhere--- and never got around to using them.  The first picture shows one of these scabbard shells next to my great-grandfathers Roby Model 1860 Cavalry Sword for comparison.  I believe the original mountings were either brazed or silver soldered on.  Bright polished arsenal finish with a few spots of light surface rust, shopworn, never mounted.  Have a third still in the original paper wrapping that I am holding back, inquire if interested.  Perfect to restore that otherwise excellent sword with a crushed scabbard!  Please ask questions before purchasing.
