The blade is marked U.S. with what appears to be a small “s” below the U.S. The blade is approximately 15 ¼ inches in length and the entire piece measures approximately 21 ½ inches in length. The patina is what is expected for this aged bayonet. See pictures for details.

    Up  for your review is the U.S. Model 1873 Bayonet with Scabbard for the Springfield Trapdoor. This piece also has a leather hanger. The blade is marked U.S. with what appears to be a small “s” below the U.S. The blade is approximately 15 ¼ inches in length and the entire piece measures approximately 21 ½ inches in length.
