COMPLETE M1905 Springfield Armory Bayonet FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION MATCHING

Up for sale is an absolutely GORGEOUS Springfield model 1905 bayonet. This is a First year of production bayonet with a type 2 scabbard that is also in Great condition from the Rock Island plant. This bayonet is in near perfect condition and is an absolute to die for collectors piece. Flaming bomb and SA mark are 100% intact, nothing is scratched or hard to see at all. Grips are absolutely fantastic and are stamped “15” “A” and matching to the Scabbard. The button to release the bayonet from the sheath works perfectly and is just how it would have been used when issued in the extremely early 1900’s. The blade has no pitting and is extremely shiny. Blade also still retains sharpness and was possibly sharpened. Serial number is #96915, signaling this was one of the first 100,000 ever made! The scabbard on this particular piece is in great condition, the only flaw being the leather was hit against something during its time being used causing it to have a mark on the front. Obvious signs of age are seen on the leather of the scabbard and with the stitching being absolutely great even on the damaged part. The metal of the scabbard has not a speck of rust and still functions perfectly. Scabbard is also marked RIA (Rock Island Armory) as well as “15” “A” and “HEK”. This is an absolute museum piece and a crown jewel to any military or gun collector. Message with any questions. Thanks for looking.
